Today I purchased 2 boxes of fresh step cat litter that Mark at the service desk held for me. There was also someone who went and got it for Mark ( sorry do not know his name), these 2 associates should be praised for there hard work. They were courteous and friendly. I'm not sure if your company gives praise to associates that do an outstanding job but if you do please recognize these 2 individuals.
If I could give this location zero stars I would. The customer service at the north Dartmouth, MA is horrible. It doesn't matter the time of the year, the day or the time of day. The store is always a mess, if you need to do a return there is never anyone at the service desk. You wait and wait until you have to go find someone to find someone else. Today 8 of us waited for over 10 minutes for anyone to even ask if we needed help. He couldn't find anyone to run the desk. Finally they contacted someone. I needed a gift card and could only wait in a line with a cashier. All 4 lines were nearly halfway down the store. When I finally got to 3rd in line I was told sorry the cashier couldn't take me because she was closed. I told the cashier I was only buying a gift card and she told me I needed to go into another line to purchase. I was not going to go to the back of another line to wait more. I bought a gift card at one of their competitors instead. The other customers in the return line were also complaining how horrible this particular store is. I will take my money and shop elsewhere.
Cashier was very kind. He gave me a 20% discount for a trash can that was very minor dented. I had never even noticed the dent and would have never even asked for a discount. That is what I call great customer service!
SHOCKING!! Is the best way to discribe my trip to Target. The entire softline area was a total disaster!! Close, shredded paper, accessories, hangers on the floor. Mountains of clothes on top of display shelves. You couldn't get down half the isles because of the mess. A parade of full carts of returns, pallets of stock waiting to go onto the floor. Is there no over night crew? If there is what were they doing all night? Not straightening and reorganizing for the day shift. I have worked retail since I was 18 yrs old and never in my life have I seen a store in such poor a state! This will be my last trip to target.

After returning an item at the customer service desk (which took about 10 minutes) to complete I then decided to shop at the store. After shopping I was cashing out at the register using my “red card” and noticed that one of my items on sale rang in for $25 instead of $20. I informed the cashier and she told me “ when I get done cashing you out you can go back into the store (with my merchandise) and take a picture of the sale price, then bring it to customer service where you can wait in line for a refund.” ? I then asked to speak to a manager because I thought well that is just ridiculous. She looked left and right and said “well I don’t see one right now” then proceeded to cash out the customer behind me. I did as I was told and it did take a while, needless to say I am very disappointed in the customer service that I have received at target. I am a regular customer and spend a lot of money there. Hopefully something can be done about this so called policy that they have in place for items ringing up incorrectly.
Let’s be honest, Target’s “Clearances” are not what they used to be…$17.99 marked down to $13.99 is not a CLEARANCE.
However, going to Target has always been a pleasurable experience. Normally, it’s clean, employees are friendly and helpful and the signage in the store is sufficient.
I do wish they had a bigger selection of home office-type products.
